Account Executive, Public Relations -
Crop Protection Products

Independent, integrated, full-service B2B agency seeks a PR Account Executive to work with our crop protection/horticulture clients.

Candidates must have 2-5 years prior experience, a degree in Ag Journalism or related field, and knowledge of crop protection/horticulture/seed/Agriculture products or similar products. Must be a strong, independent writer - experience could include from the editorial side for industry publications/websites.

The Account Executive will have the following areas of responsibility:

Campaign Management
* Successfully manages multiple public relations projects within campaigns
* Proactively identifies public relations issues and manages resolution
* Works with junior staff to maintain proper timelines and documentation
* Establishes public relations priorities in concert with senior public relations manager and account management
* Handles daily client contact and needs successfully

Communication Skills
* Routinely develops strong input documents, public relations deliverables, talking points, point-of-views and client correspondence
* Clearly and professionally manages issue resolution internally, with clients and with the target audience

Writing
* Delivers on strategies and objectives in written product
* Demonstrates AP style proficiency; other style proficiency as dictated by client(s)
* Capable of accurate, routine proofreading for content, AP standards and client (legal) guidelines

Leadership
* Successfully adapts to different environments, situations and clients
* Consistently performs as a salesman and educator for public relations discipline
* Adheres to the PRSA Code of Ethics

Participation
* Client meetings
* Planning and presentation
* Field training, trade shows, media tours, etc.
* Integrated event exposure (creative production, sales meetings, media events, field research)

Strategic
* Proactively initiates marketing ideas that meet client objectives
* Works to insure public relations communications created achieve the defined goals and objectives
* Actively contributes to marketing plan development and execution

Integrated Marketing Communications
* Works well with each integrated department to develop and implement an Integrated Marketing Communications program
* Proactively collaborates with other Integrated Marketing Communications disciplines

Financial
* Manages agency time versus expenses on estimates and expenditures
* Proactively gathers information required for estimating and budgeting
* Capable of managing the needs of a project and campaign budget interchangeably
* Handles billing approval and resolution

Staff Management
* Successfully manage junior staff including timely performance reviews, consistent mentoring and guidance

Account Executive

Dynamic agency, www.collemcvoy.com, looking for talented Account Executive to focus on agency's agriculture accounts.

The Account Executive is primarily responsible for the initiation and execution of all marketing, creative, creative contact and research projects for assigned accounts. He or she is the client's day-to-day contact and brand steward within the agency.

Responsibilities:

- Understand role and function of other agency disciplines and when those staff members should be brought in to interface with the client
- Set and communicate clear expectations with team for each project
- Maintain a positive relationship between agency and client and provide leadership within the agency on behalf of the client
- Lead and manage brand initiatives and projects
- Understand clients' business and strategic direction
- Assist with the development of marketing and communications objectives and strategies for annual planning and for individual test plans
- Work with Account Planner, Creative Director, and Account Supervisor/Director to draft creative briefs that support stated strategy and positioning
- Write monthly account status reports for Director of Client Services
- Review, analyze and evaluate the following, relative to the client's needs and objectives: creative contact output, creative output, research reports and client data
- Initiate and issue call reports and ACOs after client meetings/discussions when AAE is not present
- Follow up on all work in progress to ensure meeting due dates are met
- Manage all creative development, production, media planning/execution, network clearance, legal approvals, client approvals, etc.
- Keep immediate supervisor informed to status and progress of all projects, drawing upon the supervisor for assistance and advice as needed
- Review billing worksheets, work with Accounting and Production to manage costs, interface with client to answer billing questions and clear up accounts receivables
- Monitor all budget, research and production activity on assigned accounts and communicates status of each project to appropriate agency and client personnel
- Help manage and mentor AAE
- Participate in new business as appropriate
- Be passionate and brave in everything you do

Qualifications:
- BA/BS Degree in Communications, Marketing or Advertising or Agriculture related field
- 2 - 5 years agency account management experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
